Commodity Watch: Zinc futures ease on reduced turnover

New Delhi: Zinc prices fell Rs 1.85 to Rs 302.60 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery slipped 0.61 per cent in a business turnover of 2,021 lots. The trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand mainly weighed on zinc prices.

Copper futures for the January contract eased 0.17 per cent in a turnover of 5,898 lots. Analysts attributed the decline in copper prices to lower bets by participants.
